Chef Amanda Ray Wins Gold!
Top Prize at Gold Medal Plates 2016
We are so thrilled that our very own Chef Amanda Ray took home the top prize at Gold Medal Plates 2016 in Toronto. Armed with a strong team comprised of several members of the O&B family, Amanda competed against eight other talented chefs from Ontario to win gold. She’ll move on to compete at the Canadian Culinary Championships in Kelowna, B.C. on February 3 and 4, 2017!
Her winning dish was a Milk Braised St. Canut Porcelet with Hay Smoked Tamarack Farms Squash & Choucroute. It was paired with Cave Spring Cellars’ 2014 The Adam Step Riesling – a lovely match.
We all couldn’t be prouder of her gold medal win – go and get ’em in Kelowna, Amanda!
